We hope to accomplish the following in the next five years.......
1) Acquire property for the purpose of creating a museum focus on the history
and products of ALCO and MLW.
2) Acquire example of artifacts related to Alco History including locomotives.
3) Create a ALCO Museum with both static displays and working displays showing the many facets of Alco manufacturing. This museum will feature steam, diesel and electric locomotives, examples of Alco's diesel engine development. We
would like to acquire 539, 244 and 251 engines in many configurations
including those used in non railroad use.
We hope to acquire material showing Alco's mission during the war including a
tank and other products.
4) In addition, we would work on creating display's showing Alco's technical side
which would include drawings, photos. and technical manuals that Alco used in
the course of building locomotives.
