This is one of Alco's offices that was used up until they closed in 1969. At some earlier time going back to the steam days, it was a lab.
This is looking into the entrance of the plant. The guard office is manned 24/7. In the background is building 70 (later known as biulding 320 by GE who once leased it.)
This is building 70 from the South end. A track once went in the building though the large door seen in the lower center of the photo.
This is the building where Alco tested diesel engines. There is a track that still enters the building embedded in concrete just in front of the car. The track curves away from this lot where it conected with another track.
Looking through the fence, you can see the property as it is now. A couple of buildings have been razed that sat in this area. Building 70 is on the left. Building 62 is the one in the background that still has "AMERICAN LOCOMOTIVE" at the top. This building is being leased by STS Steel. Building 42 is to the right of the photo.
